The entrance of the site is free and open to the public all year round 7 days a week.

The archaeological walk is provided with 15 information panels, in english, that will give visitors the essential information about history of the ancient Gallo-Roman city and its monuments.

Like the archaeological site, the museum is also free.
At the reception, a visit flyer, in english, containing a site map and some elements of history about Ambrussum will be provided.

Visit Ambrussum with booklet-game

The Ambrussum site proposes differents booklet-game, for sale at the museum reception (in french only) :

For children (6 - 12 y. ), a discovery booklet og treasure hunt, named "Domitius Codex", is available for a fun and educational visit.

(price : 5€ / duration : Approximately 2h)

For adult and teenager : "The Pétronius affair", is a game-book for amateur detective.

(price : 6 € / duration : Approximately 2h)

(Advice : start the booklet-game 2h before the museum closes)

Opening time :

 

  • October to December and February to May : open every afternoon except Monday, 2pm – 5.30pm
  • June and September : open daily except Monday, 10am – 12.30pm / 2 pm – 5.30pm
  • July and August : open daily except Monday, 10am – 12.30pm / 2.30pm – 7pm

Guided visits are available at 3pm every Saturdays without booking and some Sundays with booking (click here for see all the dates).
